Use WebAuthn to log in to Backlog, Cacoo, and Typetalk

At Nulab, your security is our priority. We’re always looking for new steps we can take to keep you and your team’s data secure as you collaborate to bring your ideas to life. Today, we’re introducing a new, more secure sign-in option with WebAuthn.

What is WebAuthn?

In short, WebAuthn is a super secure sign-on that uses private and public keys to protect users from hackers. The WebAuthn specification allows servers to register and authenticate users using public key cryptography developed by the W3C and FIDO, with the participation of Google, Mozilla, Microsoft, Yubico, and others.

How does it work?

You get a private-public key pair (i.e., a credential) for logging into your Nulab Account. The private key is stored securely on your security device, and the public key is sent to our servers for storage. Our server uses that public key to prove your identity.

The public key is effectively useless without the corresponding private key, so it is useless to hackers. And since your private key is used in addition to a fingerprint or PIN, even if someone has your private security key, they won’t be able to sign in without the PIN or fingerprint you register.

Note: There is no purchase necessary to use WebAuthn to log in to your Nulab Account.
