Ola’s license has been suspended in Bangalore for 6 months.

Reason? Ola is charged with running bike taxis in violation of license conditions and violated government rules.

Ola Cabs license was suspended for six months by Karnataka’s transport department with immediate effect. The department said that the move came after Ola-operated bike taxis violating rules and did not respond to the department’s notices (via).

What does this mean? Well, Ola will obviously get this resolved in a few days – but for others like Uber – and importantly, Meru, isn’t this a great opportunity to aggressively market?
