At Business of Software we want to make a positive impact to you and your business whilst avoiding a negative impact on the world. This has been made even more clear in the aftermath of the pandemic.
When we moved everything online in 2020 we were left with a mountain of BoS merch that didn’t have a home to go to.
In 2022 when we returned to in-person conferencing, we were able to upcycle our 2020 bags and tees with a 2022 patch seamlessly giving them another chance to avoid the landfill or becoming dated.
In Boston we swapped out the cost of producing bags and tees with an option to order a tee if you wanted one or donate the cost to the local bay charity.
2023
This year, we continue our reduce and reuse mission and for every tee not ordered (thank you if you chose this option) we will be making a donation to Jimmy’s Cambridge – a community based charity providing support and housing to people rough sleeping in Cambridge. We’ve also upcycled the remaining 2020 bags with our NEW 2023 acorn pin badges, repurposed the BoS Europe travel cups currently in storage, and sourced eco-friendly organic cotton tees. You can pick up your conference merch from the reg desk along with your badge and lanyard.
