ONE THING on Multiple Roadmaps, oh my

Some of my dear readers have multiple products with multiple roadmaps, called a portfolio or product line. Hopefully, the products are complementary to each other. Each one should add to profitability and the whole should be greater than the sum of its parts.

Product teams with portfolios have a tendency to focus too much on the cash cow products, with less attention to the newer, experimental ones. That’s normal, but may hurt them in the long run. I did a podcast with Chad McAllister about handling product portfolios here. Tell me a portfolio story.
