When I joined Wetu in 2014, I was the 7th employee, we had just over 100 companies using our software, we were exclusively available in Africa, and the product was already 5 years old. Since then we have grown to over 100 employees, we have more than 800 companies using our software, and we have expanded globally.

While many articles focus on the lack of women in technology, that is not the approach I want to take. Technology consists of many different roles and jobs.

In 2022, Modus acquired software engineering company Tweag (which I founded in 2014) and further enhanced its open source footprint. Now with a combined company of immense open source knowledge and world-class engineers, we decided to follow other models and break out an OSPO devoted to furthering open source.
