Almost without fail, I find that the “maker” side of software companies (developers, designers, product folks, DevOps, tech writers…) and the “go-to-market” side of software companies (sales, marketing, support, customer success.)

The GDPR will mean heavier fines for companies where a data breach occurs. TalkTalk was fined £400,000 in 2016 for failing to have appropriate technical and organisational measures in place to secure its customers’ personal data, and for keeping their personal data for longer than necessary.
