Dog Training + Product Management

Product Manager in Heels

We spend a lot of time training our dog, Gunner. He's a 3-year-old Olde English Bulldogge and we got him from Doubletake Bulldogges in Massachusetts. We work with the Pawsitive Dog in Boston and couldn't be happier. He has his CGC Certification and is training to compete in Rally. Needless to say, we're a bit obsessed with him. I bring this up because he's an important part of my life, and helps me with product management.

I was fortunate enough to attend UX Fest 2014 at Fresh Tilled Soil just outside of Boston. It was an awesome event and helped me rethink how I've been doing product management. C.Todd talked about 'Shu-Ha-Ri' during his talk on Making UX Top of Mind. Shu-Ha-Ri is a term that comes from martial arts and is a way of thinking about learning new techniques and methodologies.
